College of Natural and Computational Science

The College of Natural and Computational Sciences was established in 2018 being one of the four pioneer colleges of Injibara University. The college has a mission of producing competent graduates with skill, attitude, and discipline; delivering need−based and demand−driven community services; and conducting problem solving research. It started its duty with seven departments namely: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Sport Science, Statistics, and Computer Science in the undergraduate programs. Currently, it has opened four additional departments: Information Technology, Information System, Software Engineering, and Biotechnology. In addition to the undergraduate programs, the college is working hard in launching postgraduate programs too. It has just opened two MSc programs in Mathematics with a specialization of Numerical Analysis, and in Biology with specializations of Ecology and Systematic Zoology. It currently has 130 Academic Staff members including eight PhD holders and 16 Technical Assistants. The college envisions to be one of the best preferred colleges from the top three compressive universities in Ethiopia by 2030.
